The Genetic Resources Policy Initiative (GRPI) is a project that aims to strengthen the capacity of developing countries to design comprehensive policy frameworks for genetic resources. Work is taking place with six pathfinder countries (Egypt, Nepal, Peru, Uganda, Vietnam and Zambia) and two sub-regions (East Africa and West and Central Africa). The project anticipates expanding these partnerships during its lifetime.
